We are seeking a caring, motivated, and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to assist pupils in reaching their full potential, both academically and socially.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Provide support for pupils with SEND, SEMH, or EHCPs (where applicable)

Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and engagement

Support personal care and wellbeing where required

Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)

A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSEs or equivalent)

An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training provided if needed)

Experience supporting SEND is desirable but not essential
