As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead classes in the absence of teachers, support student learning, and help inspire pupils to achieve their best.

Role Responsibilities – Welsh-Speaking Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classrooms during teacher absences and deliver pre-set lesson plans

Ensure pupils complete assigned tasks and follow school policies and procedures
-
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
-
Use strong communication skills to engage students and promote learning
-
Assist with administrative duties such as taking attendance, collecting homework, and maintaining records
-
Report concerns or incidents to teaching staff and contribute to a safe and respectful learning environment
This role provides the opportunity to gain valuable classroom leadership experience while supporting Welsh-medium education.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

Fluency in Welsh and English, with strong communication skills in both languages

A current Enhanced DBS

Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting

Strong organizational and multitasking skills
-
The ability to remain calm and assertive under pressure
-
A genuine passion for education and supporting students’ development
Relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or youth worker is highly desirable.
Working Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, following school operating hours
